Last week of April already?!

In the midst of our hectic April, Hunter and I (Alex, duh) took a little break for ourselves! We wanted to share with you what we did this past week, so I picked out a few highlights!! So after my weekend with the cousins at Natassia's wedding shower, I drove home and began another crazy week!

Fast forward to Tuesday, when I had Bible study with the swimmers. I absolutely love my Bible study girls, and for my birthday, they surprised me with flowers, a cute card and Haley made Blondies (Just a recipe I found)! All of it was beyond wonderful!

This is my Instagram and PicFrame version
On Wednesday, I had class, like usual, however Hunter picked me up from class and we drove out to Bentonville, AR to have Crepes on the square, a picnic and a hike to Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art! I've always wanted to go to Crystal Bridges, and Hunter knows I absolutely love the Bentonville Square, so it was quite a wonderful day! The city of Bentonville made hiking trails all around the museum, so you can walk there through the Compton Gardens and the beautiful landscape of Bentonville! Funny story, We came across a sign that said "To South Entrance, 1/4 Mile" pointing to the right. So I said, "Hey Hunter, we should go to the left so we can go through the North entrance since it's probably the main entrance" ... Turns out, there's no North Entrance the way we went, which was an extra 2 miles, and we ended up having to cut through the North Lawn and through the back way. Long story short, we made it and spent an hour or so touring the new museum!

Now, on to the real treat of the week, Saturday! Well, actually, Friday night we got to spend the night hanging out with our friends, Brian and Megan Denman, and helping them babysit for the Huckeba family! Hunter and I always appreciate good friends and fellowship, and we are so thankful that God has answered our prayers for solid friends! Saturday morning came early. Very early, in fact. Hunter and I woke up at 5:45 AM so we could wake up, eat some breakfast and spend some time in the Word before heading over to Rogers, AR to run in the Ozark Race for the Cure 2012 5k! We picked up our neighbor, and good friend Brian (same Brian as above) and left for our race. Brian ran in the chip time 5k, while Hunter and I ran in the non-chip time 5k! Hunter finished 3 seconds ahead of me, as usual, at a pace of 8:31 min/mile! Ironically, I have been working out here and there, trying to maintain some sort of something from my diving days, while Hunter had not trained at all for this 5k and ended up beating me! He's so naturally athletic!

After the race, there is a TON of free stuff given out by sponsors, so we met up with Brian and spent some time collecting some goodies! I've included a bunch of pictures of this past week to go along with what I've shared!

We hope everyone has a great start to the week, and has enjoyed their weekend!!

My favorite part of the museum! It's a sundial, but the woman and the roses are so beautifully sculpted!

On race day. iPhones take pictures backwards when you reverse the camera.

Me, Hunter and Brian, pre-Race! As you can see, the sun is still rising!

The three of us, post-race, gathering our free goodies! Take notice of the massive amount of people present! Just think, this is 1/3 of the tents handing out free items! Crazy!
